The Clinton County Elementary Academic Team competed in district Governor's Cup competition on February 1st. Several students placed in written assessment, including:
Jarvis Fillingham - 1st in Math & 5th in Arts and Humanities
Easton Conner - 1st in Science & 5th in Math
Lily Tallent - 5th in Social Studies
Sawyer Tallent - 1st in Composition & 2nd in Language Arts
Kenzlee Guffey - 3rd in Language Arts
Riley Hunter - 1st in Arts and Humanities
Gage Pierce - 5th in Composition (tie)
Abby Reneau - 5th in Composition (tie)
The Future Problem solving team (Abby Reneau, Kate Moons, Riley Hunter, & Kenzlee Guffey) were runners-up in the FPS competition. The Quick Recall team (Jarvis Fillingham, Riley Hunter, Sawyer Tallent, Easton Conner, Kate Moons, Abby Reneau, Kenzlee Guffey, Lily Tallent, Maddie Witham, Gage Pierce, Ava Craig, & Audri Groce) won 1st place! And the team was awarded the Kathrine C. Hume award for sportsmanship! They were the overall runners-up! Congratulations!
